There’s not much to say on the technical aspect. These are 1.5 lbs hatchet heads made of tool steel. The handles are standard hickory about 14″. Sometimes they need to be stripped of a coating that the manufacturers put on them. I put a much better edge on the tools than you get from the stores. When used in the field or yard I have thoroughly tested them in numerous applications.

These camp axes, while small are effective. I personally keep one for my “around the house” yard work. I come up with new designs all the time and will keep adding them, or give me an idea and I can etch the concept on the same size canvas.
Hatchets are etched, sanded, sharpened, and oiled.
Carving hatchets are also available since you just have to shorten the handle.
I know these axes do the job, and they look cool! Hickory handle, linseed oiled down, you can’t beat it!
